Welcome To Bem No Mar - Paradise on the coast of Brazil
Bem No Mar is a piece of tropical paradise on a deserted beach in Brazil. The name means "right on the sea" in Portuguese, and that's where we are; on a small island just off the Atlantic coast.
Bem No Mar - which can be yours for a weekend, a week, or a month - has the Atlantic Ocean in the front yard and a river which separates us from the mainland in the back. The eastern veranda faces the rising sun on the ocean horizon and the western veranda is a great place to watch the sunsets over the river.
Frank and Maria Helena, your hosts, moved to Brazil after wrapping up their international careers. After a long search, they accidentally discovered the small riverside town of Canavieiras and it's adjacent island. (Brazil has become an "in" destination for world travelers in the know, so undiscovered gems like Canavieiras are becoming rare.) The couple found an idyllic spot on the far end of the island with only a few neighbors for many miles. They hired an award-winning architect and built
Bem No Mar, a stunning yet ecologically correct modern home.
The property has a fresh-water swimming pool and cabana, and of course, the white sand beach where you'll seldom see another person other than the occasional local fisherman. There are many optional activities, too, from river boat excursions to dinner in the colonial-era port downtown.
So if you're looking for a
truly unique vacation, read on... dream a bit... and get in touch.
We'd love to share
Bem No Mar with you!
